IvSU became a platform for the "Great Ethnographic Dictation"

On November 8, our university for the second time became a regional platform for the International Action "Great Ethnographic Dictation".

About 170 students from all institutes and the Faculty of Law of our university wrote dictation in the assembly hall of the 1st educational building of the IvSU.

Vice-Rector for Social Development and Youth Policy Nikita Dmitrievich Sorokin addressed the participants of the action with a welcoming speech. He noted that the event is connected with the past holiday – the Day of National Unity. The goal of the project is to get acquainted with the cultural life of the peoples living on the territory of Russia, and to assess the general ethno-cultural literacy. Knowledge of one's roots, traditions of one's ancestors and those who live nearby is the basis for mutual respect and harmony between people of different nationalities. The dictation is being held for the 7th time.

The participants were given 45 minutes and 30 questions, 20 of which are of federal significance, and 10 are the regional part of the dictation, unique for each subject of the Russian Federation.

Two winners who scored 100 points: Daria Andreeva (2nd year, History) and Varvara Tukanova (4th year, History) received prizes from IvSU and VTB Bank. Congratulations!
