Irina Kazimirova "above the city and the world" – but within the walls of IvSU!

Irina Kazimirova "above the city and the world" – but within the walls of IvSU!

On October 17, an unusual vernissage dedicated to the work of one of the leading batik artists of Russia, Irina Kazimirova, took place in the reading room of the 1st educational building of the IvSU.

Opening the exhibition, IvSU Rector Aleksey Malygin noted that the university continues a wonderful tradition of cooperation with the Ivanovo branch of the Union of Artists of Russia: the exposition kicks off the 19th season of the art and educational project of Ivanovo State University and "Light of Russia", introducing students, teachers, residents Ivanovo region with the modern artistic process of the region, and this is an important aspect of the cultural education of the younger generation. The rector added that he already has a favorite painting at this exhibition – the diptych "Love.ru", a very bright and cheerful work (namely, such an emotional "message" is very important right now).

Honored Artist of Russia Vadim Nikolaychuk took the floor from the Ivanovo branch of the Union of Artists and spoke about the creative path and achievements of Irina Kazimirova. After all, the works of the heroine of today's vernissage are not only actively exhibited in various cities of Russia, but also win competitions. Moreover, the large-scale triptych "The Way to Infinity", whose premiere demonstration in the Ivanovo region is taking place here, has just won 1st place at a prestigious competition in Yekaterinburg.

Ksenia Demyanenko, artist, designer, lecturer at IvSPU, spoke very emotionally and with inspiration, emphasizing that Irina Kazimirova is an indisputable authority for young artists and designers and they learn from the examples of her work. Ksenia Demyanenko also noted the remarkable human qualities of the master: love of life, responsiveness, modesty, readiness to always come to the rescue.

The curator of the project Sofya Lukyanova held a traditional competition for a sweet prize with those present, but this time the question was very serious: "Find three signs of the implementation of the national code in the paintings of Irina Kazimirova". Nadezhda Vasilyevna Usoltseva, who needs no introduction, brilliantly and almost instantly coped with the task, giving a simply cultural commentary in her answer!

Sofya Lukyanova also commented on some of the works, noting the subtle, positive and very bright perception of the world, exquisite color harmony and subtle stylization, bizarre plot and allusiveness, but most importantly - a combination of childishly direct lightness and deep philosophy, which directly leads to actual life issues, including acutely modern (that's why the question was about the national code, because the geopolitical and cultural situation of recent decades calls into question the fate of sovereign nations and states). This simultaneously topical and philosophical pathos was supported by the artist herself, in her speech updating the content of several works and emphasizing the urgency of our common conversation about modern culture – after all, a serious dialogue of all real cultural forces interested in our common future is needed.
