Professional success of international students of IvSU

October 26–28, 2022 at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the A.M. Gorchakov hosted the First All-Russian Forum of international students "Foreign policy of Russia and the future development of international relations". The forum included round tables, panel discussions, foresight sessions and meetings with professional diplomats.

The students of the 3rd and 4th years of the Institute of International Relations, Victoria Monakhova and Alexandra Surkova, successfully passed the competitive selection and were invited to the Forum, where they represented Ivanovo State University. During the event, the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.S. Ryabkov, during which the participants discussed the foreign policy strategy of Russia in the new conditions, as well as the acquaintance and subsequent discussion with the Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry M.V. Zakharova, whose briefing they managed to attend. Among the distinguished guests were Director of the Foreign Policy Planning Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry A.Yu. Drobinin, General Director of the RT TV channel A.L. Nikolov, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary A.V. Yakovenko. The Forum participants visited the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and also visited the Reception House of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Savva Morozov's mansion), where many high-level meetings take place.

The Forum was aimed at establishing links between young international affairs specialists from Sakhalin to Donetsk, which should contribute to the development of communication within the professional community of international affairs students and the development of youth diplomacy in Russia.
